Green electricity is any electricity produced from a renewable energy source. This currently includes: solar energy including photovoltaics and thermal power, wind energy, tidal energy, wave energy, hydroelectric power, geothermal energy, and biomass.
Go is supplied with green electricity
All electricity consumption at the 'tariff go' includes certificates of renewable origin.
SMEG certifies that the equivalent of the electrical energy consumption provided for all customers at the "tariff go" was produced from sources of renewable origin
Renewable energy sources
Unlike fossil energy, renewable energy* comes from energy sources which renew themselves quickly enough to be considered inexhaustible at a human scale.
Today, the following energy sources are officially considered to be renewable: wind, solar, aerothermal, geothermal, hydrothermal, marine and hydroelectric, biomass, landfill gas, water treatment plant gas and biogas.
In 2018, green electricity purchased in the Principality of Monaco amounts to 70% of total consumption.
